Background and Identification
Beko is a Turkish home appliances brand that was established in 1955. The company started as a small workshop that produced cookers and stoves, but, in the 1990s, they began to expand their product range into refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, as well as other household appliances. They have since become one of the largest appliance brands in Europe, with its products sold in more than 140 countries worldwide.
In 2004, Beko became a subsidiary of the Arçelik Group, which is a leading player in the global home appliances market. The Arçelik Group is based in Turkey and has a diverse portfolio of brands, including Beko, Grundig, Blomberg, and Arctic. With the backing of Arçelik, Beko has continued to grow and innovate, offering consumers a range of high-quality and affordable home appliances.
Beko has a reputation for producing reliable and efficient dryers that are packed with innovative features. One such innovation is dryers that incorporate heat pump technology that uses a refrigerant system to extract heat from the air inside the dryer drum, which is then recycled to dry the clothes. This serves to improve energy-efficiency over traditional dryers. Another key innovation that they have introduced on their dryers is the Aquawave drum technology, which features a specially designed drum with wave-like paddles that gently agitate the clothes and prevent them from getting tangled during the drying process and helping to reduce wear on the garments. Modern dryers may also include the HomeWhiz app allowing consumers to remotely control their dryer from their smartphone or tablet. The app also provides notifications when the cycle is complete or when the dryer needs maintenance.
The model number of a Beko dryer can be found on a sticker or a plate on the inside of the dryer door, on the back of the dryer, or on one of the sides.
