While there are a handful of locations a model number — and serial number — can exist, the number is finite.
What Does a Fridge Model Number Look Like?
A refrigerator model number is a sequence of numbers and letters which is essential for parts pairing and repair. The model number and serial number can be found on a label that can also present the manufacturer, a customer support phone number, appliance specifications, features, a QR code, a barcode, assembly location, and some sort of energy certification.
Interior Ceiling
Open the fridge, and look straight up. It may be towards the rear of the appliance.

Interior Walls of Fridge
With the fridge still open, look left and right. The informational sticker is normally posted toward the front.

Door Frame
Search for a sticker on the edge of the door, similar to where cars post tire pressure values.

Inside of Door
Examine the door, moving any food out of the way.
Interior Wall Behind Crisper Drawer
Pull the crisper drawers out, and look behind them for the info plate.
Beneath Crisper Drawer
Pull the crisper drawers out, and now look underneath.
Interior Walls of Freezer
Repeat the above procedures for the walls of the freezer.
Behind Kick Plate
The kick plate is the panel at the bottom of your fridge that conceals the inner workings of the appliance. It's usually held in with two screws.
Remove the screws, and inspect the compartment.
The Rear
Check the backside of your fridge if you can't find the model number within the appliance.
Determining a Serial Number Without Sticker
It's extremely likely you've found the model number, and serial number by now. However, if the sticker has worn off, or peeled away you may be frustrated.
No sticker, no problem. Take photos of the appliance inside and out, approximate date of manufacture, and contact an appliance professional. Chances are they will try to help you.
Another trick is using a part number to look up related models. If you're replacing a part, then finding a replacement part number may be enough. Also, some parts are compatible with many appliances and don't need a specific model number anyway.
