Does your Magic Bullet NutriBullet leak from the cup, lid, or power base? NutriBullet blenders are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause leaking, many of which are simple to fix. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problems.

Extractor Blade is Not Screwed onto Lid Tightly

If the NutriBullet’s lid is not tightly screwed onto the blender’s base with the extractor blades, the blender can leak. Check to see that the extractor blade is screwed onto the cup lid properly by using the ridges on the blender cup as a guide. If the blender cup does not screw on properly, you may need to order a new cup on NutriBullet’s website. According to users, it is also possible to find replacement NutriBullet cups at second-hand or thrift stores, or on sites like Craigslist.

Cup is Not Secured into the Powerbase

If the NutriBullet’s blender cup is not tightly secured and locked into the blender’s high-torque power base, the blender may leak. The powerbase includes three slits that match the three lips on the side of the NutriBullet blender cup. Make sure that these slits and lips are aligned and fit together properly before using the blender.

Rubber Seal on Extractor Blade is Torn or Ripped

The NutriBullet blender’s extractor blade piece includes a rubber seal called a gasket on the underside of the blade. The gasket is designed to secure the extractor blade to the cup and prevent leakage. If the rubber seal is torn or ripped, the blender may leak. Follow this rubber seal replacement guide to replace a leaky gasket.

Cracks on the Interior or Exterior Parts of the Blender

Cracks on the interior or exterior parts of the NutriBullet blender can cause leaks. Cracks can also expose wires and fast-moving components that can become damaged. Detach the blender cup from the high-torque power base and inspect all parts of the NutriBullet power base to look for cracks. If a crack is found on the base, use this Magic Bullet NutriBullet base replacement guide to replace the blender’s damaged power base. If a crack is found on the cup or lid of the NutriBullet blender, purchase a replacement part on NutriBullet’s website.

I’m wondering if shipping may have something to do with the Nutribullet Rx leaking. Remember the old TV commercials where the gorilla is throwing luggage around? That what the box looked like on my order. Several areas on the box were taped up with a substantial amount of tape. I took photos of the box.

if I can’t get any help from customer service, I’ll be returning the unit to Amazon.

I bought a new magic bullet blender that leaks oil into the container, that mixes with the food. I just discovered it when i was blending papaya that turned dark gray. Prior to that, i was blending lentils with it to feed my baby. So i possibly fed my baby with lentils with machine oil from the blender

Same here! I'll see if there is remediation for this issue.

It might be the problem with a bearing that is placed under the blades. I had the same problem some time ago and it turned out that the bearing was broken and I had to replace it. After the replacement it was working perfectly fine for a month or so and then the machine started to make much more noise than before. I replaced the bearing again along with a gasket and now no oily substances turn up in my smoothies any more. Check it on youtube, it’s not difficult to replace it.
