The Power Button Does Not Respond

Power Source Malfunction

Frayed or Misplaced Wires
Sometimes internal wires can fray or intertwine with others, causing a sudden power outage of the device. To fix this, you may need to check the wires that are connected to the power source. Attempt to untangle them here Sony SRS-XB30 Wires Replacement if needed.
The Device Does Not Charge
The problem could be one of the following:
Faulty Charger
Try another charging adapter. If the device still does not charge then you need to purchase a new adapter. You can purchase a new charger online/in stores.
Charging Port

The Device Does Not Pair with Bluetooth
If your device does not pair with other bluetooth devices, the problem could be one of the following:
The Reset Button on Your Device
Before making any mechanical movements, the problem might be easily fixed by resetting your device. You can do this by pushing the reset button. You will locate the reset button under the flap on the back side of your device. Hold this button down for ten seconds.
Bluetooth Chip Replacement

The Device Plays Distorted Sound
If your device produces distorted sound quality or no noise at all, then one of the following might help:
Interference With Other Broadcasts
Make sure the device that is connected to the speaker via Bluetooth does not have a built in radio or tuner. As this can interfere with sound quality of the speaker.
Speaker Replacement

I've tried to reset my speaker but it still won't turn on or charge

I have this speaker model, and the original charger that came in the box broke with the top of the pin still lodged in the charging port. The speaker worked till the previous charged battery lasted, however, after that, it did not charge with a new charger either. Any suggestions?

I unplugged the unit from its charger (at the unit, not from the wall) while I was actively playing music through a bluetooth connection. The sound stopped immediately, which apparently is normal, but now I can only get sound from bluetooth if the unit is plugged in to power. No sound at all using the battery. I’ve tried resetting the unit, terminating and reconnecting the bluetooth device, using bluetooth standby - nothing works in regaining sound using just the battery. What is wrong with the unit?
