Risoluzione problemi PlayStation 2

i got a ps2 and the power light comes on fan will run game will turn but it wont come on the screen it wont boot up to the mean screen......what could it be.

My system will play PS2 games, but when trying to play PS games I get audio and no video.

Played the ps2 once and now it's not on nor seems to be receiving power. My power cord has a 8.5v adapter attached to it. Could the adaptar be faulty?

My ps2 had memory stick and cds but when i put cds inside. Only the red theme appears that says insert playstation discs but when i open the disc reader. It will go to firat screen which has the moving dots , the configuration and The browser it keeps repeating and i cant do anything about it. Pls help me

ps2 wouldn't turn on so i opened it up and tried to fit the power ribbon back in, someone held it up for me a bit too high and all the cables for the disk drive came out except for one. one of the loose cables actually came out from the bottom of the drive, rather than the outlets underneath the drive

I have a ps2 fat scph 50004 model. Recently while cleaning i broke the power eject ribbon. The console was bricked. I replaced the ribbon and the console came on. I also replaced the laser. The discs spin and stop saying disc read error. The laser, worm motor, disk tray and disc motor works perfectly but im still getting d.r.e. Please help.

My ps2 controller will not connect.

I thought is was the controller the first time I happened. But I bought a new one and it still doesn't connect. The red light would pop on the controller to show that it works, but every game I load in says to connect a controller to one of the oorts even though there is one in already. Plz help I need my fix of nostalgia.

My ps2 one day turned off while playing a game and showed a white light. It made that beep noise 3 times in a row turned off repeats and then shows a white light again. I threw it away but I still would like to know what happened but no one else on the Internet seemed to have the “white light of death”. When im in the Ambience I am selecting the System Configuration and then automatically it just goes back to the Ambience how do I fix that?

Hi, I recently bought an old ps2 slim. Hooked it up, booted up fine, even played a metallic CD I had handy. But, when I tried playing a game, it never gets past the PlayStation logo. I don't have another game at the moment, so I'm thinking it may be the disc. The light does not change, but the console emits 5 short whirs at regular intervals.

My ps2 is working yesterday but when i try it now to play it now it doesn't work. Well it worked for almost 3 minutes but before i put the disc it turn off automatically and since then it wont turn on

I just purchased a new AV adapter for my ps2 and when I turn it on the screen is black. The main menu never shows up. I tried plugging it into a different TV and it does the same thing. The fan will kick on and the light stays green when I turn it on so I don't think it's the console but you never know. Is it a defective AV adapter? Or is it my console? Should I try to get an authentic ps2 adapter? The one I purchased was for ps 1,2, &3.

my ps2 is scph 90002.it turns on normal way but afer 15 -20 min it suddenly turns off.what im worried is culd that be a error of power swich sercit or the main power circuit.pls someboby help if you have gone through the same scenario.

I got a PS2 for my son, but we don’t have an AV cable for it, so I can’t tell if it works. While its plugged into the wall, the system turns on, but the disc doesn’t spin.

My own case about my ps2 is that it has not been turned on for about 10 mouths now . When I want to turn it on it shows the green light but does not appear on my TV screen.

So i was cleaning my ps2 then i put it back together i played a game it had a big grinding sound so i tried to turn it off by yhe power button it didn't let me so i unplug and re pluged it in and i put a game in there again same thing so i took it apart again to see if i can gix it and it was having some reading issues so i tried cleaing the laser so i cleaned it with a q tip and turned it on still wouldn't load so i took out the disc drive and and see if i fix that but it didnt I unplugged the power button off the board and the system had some powering off problems so I unplugged the power supply wouldn't turn on. If some one figured out this problem il great full

My PS2 got a totally different issue, it powers on, it’s got green light on power button, blue light on eject button, but nothing shows on my screen, I’ve checked the A/V connection multiple times, unplug/replug the power multiple times, nothing works! My ps2 doesn't say disc error but it goes to the system configuration screen when you put any disc in it but the other is I cant turn it off itll come on but you cant turn it off unless you unplug it I think it may be the power cord I wiggled it and the TV glitched the other cord didn't do that any suggestions?

My brother stumbled over the cable :P And it wont get any power into the system i’ve tried to push the cable where its connected down because a pin in the ps2 power unit is broken but still nothing.. any tips?

So I found out while I was going through my things and I found out my ps2.it worked fine until a few days later when I turned it on. Power is on but can not play the games.  Only thing coming on the TV screen is the  Browser &  System Configuration, it will let me go into to change system settings.  The game was coming on before but now all of a sudden the Browser & System Configuration is coming on.  Is there a setting that we have turned off or do we need to change something else.  We have tried to unplug it and power it down.  The system is not hooked up to the internet.  Thanks

I’m having trouble with my fat ps2. The balls on my home screen are not swirling. I changed the battery and still nothing. I also cannot access my system configuration or use my analogue or d pads to select anything on the menu. I can use the X button but nothing else. When I place a game inside and hit reset the game will actually okay and then I can use the d lad and analogue sticks. Any thoughts?

NONE of these issues apply to my problem. My PS2 slim turns on fine, the problem is that the disc stops spinning. No idea what to do. Does that mean the motor that spins the disc needs to be replaced?

My PS2 says please insert a PlayStation or PlayStation 2 form disc, it says that whenever I try to play any of my games, they are all PS2 games, and they worked in my old PS2 untill it stopped reading discs they both have the same model number and both the disc and PlayStation say ntsc u/c which I'm assuming is the region code.why does it say that and is there a way to fix it

I have a ps2 fat that just won’t turn on, the lights or anything won’t come on ether. I took it apart and unplugged the main power switch and plugged it back in to make sure it wasn’t loose. I also tried two different power cables. I used the one from the ps2 and the ps1 and still nothing.

I have a 50001 model PS2 phat, and the system won't output composite and s-video right. I'm using component/composite and s-video AV cables. Component shows up normal, but composite and s-video are distorted. It looks like it has a bunch of rainbows of color up and down the screen, regardless of the TV in use or input. I turned on my ps2 fat console, opened the disc drive to see what game was in it, and then I closed it and 3 seconds later it shut off immediately. I played with the on/off switch and nothing. I checked the outlet and it works fine. ?????

So months ago I was playing Xenosaga just fine on my PS2 slim. Recently I bought a brand new, sealed, copy of NFS Most Wanted and it splashes to the red screen as if I put something other than a PS2 disc into the bay. It's not a blue disc so I know that isn't the issue. When I tried taking it apart to run a test and see if the two pins aren't being depressed to spin the disc I discovered the two halves of the shell are somehow attached and not by a screw. Since I see ribbon cables in there I didn't want to try and brute force it, break something or ruin the ribbon cables.

After opening my PS2 to clean it, it will boot, but with no audio, very slowly, and will not boot to any menu after the startup.

I have a PlayStation 2 game for one my tray will not open for two I took the cover off it and the silver piece of looks like paper or tape that goes from one section of the cover to the main unit came off the unit how do I get that back on to get the power going

So. My PS2 wouldn't load a blue disc Gameshark. It also wouldn't load a brand new copy of Most Wanted. I bought and installed a new laser. Now the Gameshark will load, sound wise, but there's no video. I have to reset the system to bring the video back. It still won't load the new copy of Most Wanted but it does load and play an older one just fine. On top of that there's this low rapid clicking noise while Most Wanted is running. I checked the disk and there's no damage to it so I don't think it's that.

I’m setting up my PS2 slim to my HDMI tv and have used adaptors to allow it to work with the tv. The power is connected and the light turns red. I try to start it, it turns green for a moment and then back to red. Is there an internal issue or am I just doing something wrong with the power supply

Os CDS ficaram riscados tipo de dentro para fora ( os riscos começam do meio do CD) .

Tengo una duda, a ver si alguien puede ayudarme ya que soy un poco novato en esto.

Estoy tratando de arreglar una PS2 FAT Mod. SCPH 50004 que no enciende. Es probable que el problema sea la fuente de alimentación. Estoy buscando una por internet y he visto que en Aliexpress tienen, pero la mayoría son para PS2 Fat 35008/50000 50001 50006. ¿Sabéis si son compatibles? No veo ninguna que sea exclusivamente para el modelo 50004.

I have the original FAT PS2 and wiped the dust and dirt off the whole thing. I never opened it previously and when I plugged it in, video and power, it shows red. Turns on and the light stays green. Disk Drive works. Though, the controller shows no red light for Analog and the unit has no video output. I suspect it's either a connector issue or a Capacitor Cap problem. Any thoughts?
