Blackberry Curve 9300 Troubleshooting

Before you take apart your phone because you think your phone won't turn on, hold down the power button for no more than 5 seconds. If the phone turns on, then your phone should be functioning properly.

You know that the phone is on, but you can't see anything on your screen.

If your phone screen is not working and your phone has recently had water damage, your backlight may be broken. If this is the problem, submerge your phone in rice for 24 hours to absorb all of the water. If this does not fix the problem, your backlight may need to be replaced.

Keyboard buttons missing or sticking.

If your keyboard is missing one or more keys, you need to replace the keyboard which you can do by following the Keyboard Replacement Guide

If one or more buttons on the keyboard are stuck and not working, you need to replace the keyboard which you can do by following the Keyboard Replacement Guide

The Blackberry will not play sounds for phone calls, music, or alarms.

If your phone will not play sound, go to your settings and turn the volume all the way up.
