Amazon Fire TV Cube Troubleshooting

Trying to figure out how I can just get sound coming out of the cube instead of my bose speakers…want to play xbox can listen to music on my fire cube at the same time

Mine turns on, I get to the firetv screen then it turns off every time.

Mine will play music then after one song goes silent, but the bar underneath the song on the Alexa app is still moving like the music is still playing.

My fire tv cube just recently decided that if I give it any commands for any type of video such as “alexa let's watch Netflix,” or “alexa check the front door" it just switches the video input on the tv to hdm 1 even though the cube is plugged into hdmi 4

My Cube will work fine on all accounts if I up plug the power and re connect it each time I want to use it after it has been off for a few hours. If I as use voice command to turn it on, it turns on the TV and power bar but no menu will ever come on and no amount of voice command will bring anything up, but If I unplug the power cord and plug it back it it will work just fine.

I have reset the box multiple times and I even have two Cubes and set the second one up and it acts the same way. So is it a configuration setting or what ca n cause this.

Cables HDMI cables work just fine on other devices and after I re plug the power.

My Amazon fire cube is not responding to any demands no Alexa nothing

Cube does not recognize my Amazon account name and password. Have restarted Cube and still cannot register Cube.

I just setup my fire tv cube. We purchased this primarily because our smart tv was a few years old and we plan to use youtube tv. We are getting a partial screen flash when connected to the cube. We thought it may be the modem/router, but the occasional flash occurs when we totally disconnect the internet and are just displaying the settings on the cube. Should I return and request a new cube? Is anyone else having this issue?

Some of my buttons on the remote don’t work. Is the remote bad or is their trouble shooting available?

We will be watch either Disney or CBS all access and it gets the circle of death. Only seems to be these 2. Not prime video or Netflix. Amazon apparently doesn’t have a clue what issue is. They blame AT&T as my internet provider. I have no other issues with internet. Does anyone else have this problem ?

I can pair bluetooth headphones and ear buds but it causes the video to become choppy. I haven’t been able to find a cure yet. Any ideas?

Do you need An app that works like a remote control when you can’t find your remote control. Because without my remote control I can’t get the Amazon fire TV cube to work properly. Just wish you guys had that for one thing.

I am having problems getting my Fire TV Cube 4K to operate, Screen continues to blink and when I start an app as soon as screen blinks it goes back to the home page. I cleared the cash on every app loaded and force stopped the ones I was not using and this problem still persist. I also changed the HDMI cable and rebooted multiple times. I tried changing display setting as recommended on other sites and still no luck. I did notice there is no blinking when goes to screen saver mode. Anyone out there had similar problems and what did you do to fix it.?

Remember these few things….sinc your remote at startup…plug your IR in the back of the cube place it close to your tv or avr..select the correct tv …avr….when prompted!!l! If you hear no sound ….redo…when it asks you if you here the sound go up or down ( you won't hear it) look to the bottom right corner of your screen …it should go up and down in 5 increments…blink and you miss it!!!!! Only then will your up and down volume buttons work. …Do a Firmware update before you start watching movies or playing games!!!!!!

Go to YouTube and watch and learn how to download non Amazon apks on “Downloader”….

If you want Google Chrome and Gmail….you need to download Play store….and it's a process be warned. It can be done but yeah again go to YouTube ….you need Aurora store or Yalp store…and a a lot of patience ….but really go to YouTube and just type in “side loading tv cube" or “ Jail breaking tv cube"…..good luck!!!!

This is my second Fire TV Cube and both are new and having the same issue. They will not stay on. The power up and I can hear the power on sound and then shut off. Any ideas? Even tried different power outlets and no luck.

Fire cube had no Alexa menu in settings. Does not appear at all, no icon for Alexa. Orange light is strobing across the top. My internet connection is ok, cables are ok. I'm able to stream with the fire cube and use internet. However no Alexa at all and orange light continuously. So frustrating

Unplug it at the power point and do a complete reset..had the same problem …or go to settings and do a factory reset. Either way should fix the problem. I know its frustrating..persistence pays off :-)

My fire cube keeps restarting itself. Just set it up, brand new out of the box. Any suggestions on what might be causing this? I have it plugged directly into the TV via an HDMI cable. HDMI cable is fine.

My Cube will not authorize ESPN. I have used several providers, DTV, Spectrum and YouTube TV. Also I have tried to connect through AT&T, Spectrum and a hot spot using my phone & a Verizon hot spot. I talked with ESPN support and they said it is the app or the device and would look into it. They haven’t. It has been several weeks now. Has anybody else had this problem on the Cube?

Setup fire cube today for my mom. Everything connects and works - switches to cable and changes channels - only the cube apologizes several times for experiencing an issue - it Re-sends the channel number, mutes and unmutes - the says she’s sorry and I should try again later.

if she was an autonomous droid, I’d be afraid. Since she is merely a cube - I want her to stop apologizing.

I installed my Fire Cube. I don’t plan on using Alexa! Everything went ok but after finishing my remote will let me navigate but will not let me POWER ON/OFF the TV or let me ADJUST VOLUME. Other than that it is working. Anyone know why it doesn’t let me shut the TV off or adjust the volume but does everything else? Thanks!

I have a Fire TV cube model 2 and on my your apps and channels page all the circle does is spin. I can get to the apps through the managed applications though.

I am having problems with my Alexa Cube remote. It will start working just fine, and then for no apparent reason, it stops responding. I have changed the batteries, and reset the cube. I do not know what else to do.

Cube used to turn on the TV and turn off the TV but now does not recognize TV. TV will turn on if you ask the Alexa to turn on an app. Nothing has changed that we can tell.

Any idea why the red light would be staying on? The cube works with the remote but i can no longer use voice commands. The worst part is Alexa no longer announces my ring doorbell. All this worked fine before. I have unplugged it and done the reset in settings. Please advise.

I have virgin tv on one HDMI and fire tv cube on separate HDMI. Is there a way or a work around I can be watching cable TV on one HDMI and receive incoming calls from the fire cube’s alexa without manually changing the input source? Obviously the alexa only works when the source is switched to the fire cube. Sorry if it's a dumb question

Brand new fire TV cube quits working all the time period have had 2 restarted over 20 times in the last 2 weeks. Now it will not work at all no matter what I do.

My cube keeps coming up with orange search bar. I know it looking for network but if you go to settings, network it says there's no problem. I have it hard wired to the net work here's the kicker if I unplug the cat5 and let it hook Wi-Fi it works but buffers like crazy. Anyway to fix this?

My cube is only seven hours old. It is connected to a brand new Samsung 50” Oled TV (smart tv? Soon see). The Samsung is one week old. I had a fire 4k stick on it, but ran out of memory pretty quick DLing some APPS. So I traded up to a cube. But the darn thing has been trying to “Finishing Updates, do not touch remote buttons.” It has been finishing updates for about 3 hours so far. I bet if I leave it looping over night there will be no change. Has anyone else seen this issue? Or shall I just go buy a Roku Elite?

OK, I went back to factory restore and everything worked ut well, no more looping with “Finishing updates”, however, I did not put too much effort into DLing all of the APPS I would like. The cube captured all of the APPS and settings from the original Fire 4K Stick instead. I will add them one at a time as I need them if not already there. So, sorry Roku Ultra, not today!

I have a Cube, and a 4K Vizio 65, with a Vizio 5.1 Soundbar .. it was working fine , and then a upgrade change the sound to both the Soundbar and the Cube , the volume button on the Cube remote raised and lowers on the top of tv with a bar, and the Tv/Soundbar remote on the bottom with a bar fir up and down .. tried everything.. any clues on how to fix , I’m not resetting Cube cause my Apps are not available on site anymore

I have a fire tv cube that is connected to a tv as well as a receiver. Have had no issues for years but now for some reason when I press the volume buttons on my remote, the light on the cube which would flash in a scanning motion, continues to run in that scanning motion indefinitely. I have rebooted.several times and checked for updates. It is triggered after a reboot upon attempting to change the volume with the remote either up or down. I did unplug the unit the last time I rebooted it. Everything looks fine until I press.the volume button on the remote. It use to just flash once or twice when changing volume but now it runs continously. I've gone through all the settings and even reset up my hardware. Everything is working the way it should but the light catches my eye when I'm trying to watch tv or a movie. Any thoughts?

I’m having the exact same issue as Eric Price. Everything works fine and this is a 4 year old gen 1 cube. But as of 3 or 4 days ago the scrolling blue light never shuts off. I searched all over the internet, but other than one article pointing to the batteries in the remote (which I changed to no avail) nothing looks promising. I just wish it would tell me WHY the light is on, it’s frustrating.

Did a reset of my fire cube and then accidently got unplugged when it just started. Now we only get fire tv start up and then nothing. Any ideas what to do.

Most problems for the fire stick or cube running slow or freezing can be resolved by holding the Ok button and play button for 5 seconds ..the device will reboot and should solve many issues and allow it to run and load faster

Channels keep unexpectedly changing on my fire cube

Alexa stopped responding but firetv worked fine. The cube would flash a yellow bar every once in awhile but I had no notifications. I called customer service to explain to them that Alexa wasn’t responding when I tried saying Alexa or when I pressed the voice button on the remote. They had me reset my remote and now my remote doesn’t work either. I’m now worse off than I was! They told me they would send me a new remote but I’d have to wait for that to come in the mail to see if it fixes my problem. Somehow I feel like the remote wasn’t the problem… it was working fine prior to listening to customer service and resetting it.

Been on the phone with Amazon for over an hour, before that I spent 6 hours trying to get a USB flash drive to connect with my Cube. NOTHING IS WORKING!!! Help if possible!

Why is blue tooth not working on my first cube gen 2? This just started. No audio will come from earbuds or tv. It is also making the video play in fast forward. This was not a problem before. I think the update caused this. One I turn off the blue tooth it works fine. Can anyone help me with this problem? Tks

My fire tv cube stopped suddenly working after being set up for a couple years. I unplugged it to restart it but now it's not recognizing the remote. I changed the remote batteries but can't pair it with cube. I just get a black screen after it restarts. I've always had one of the better HDMI cords connected with it. Do they just die after a few years? I'm stumped!

My new fire tv cube 3 works but when used with the new fire remote pro, it does not retain the last voice command so you cannot use it to, for example, click button 1 and go to hdmi1. Of course you can do this verbally but it is supported to remember voice commands so you can select it with the side menu that comes up when you press button 1 for a few seconds. The menu appears but no previous voice commands appear. Amazon tech says they are aware and working on update. We’ll see.

When I try to turn the cube on the blue light showers on the cube and at the same time the white " fire tv" logo appears then disappears when the blue light goes out.

My fire cube remote keeps scrolling past where I select or doesn't select at all.

My cube is in loop on boot strap mode, just keeps restarting on "firetv" logo, any suggestion to fix this issue.

Do you know if FireTV is working properly. We're unfortunately having a few issues with our FireTv Cube 2nd Gen. Kodi stopped working, CyberFlix too and so did CinemaHD. I've done a factory reset 2 or 3 times. Restarted modem and router too. I use RD and have an active subscription with some 36+ days remaining still. But oddly even the standalone icons on the FireTV home screen fail to load straight away and take some time to populate like a good few minutes instead blank image placeholders are displayed instead. I've done multiple factory resets and tried changing VPN but it makes no difference. My next port of call is to try and contact Amazon FireTV support. Any other ideas please!? My fire cube suddenly stopped responding. The TV is not seeing it, does not respond at all. The only “alive” proof is the Mute button that turns red when I press it. I tried the reset but does not work.

Any ideas?

Fire Cube 3 here and I cannot get home screen to show up. I can use the bottom right button "Square on a Square" icon. I get a menu of apps to choose from and can select one and watch shows. BUT I cannot get to the HOME screen. It does sometimes show up for a 2 second moment and I can move the cursor around real quick but in 2 seconds the cube switches back to the previous loaded app.

I have seen sooo many issues with this cube I think I am going to return it and buy a different product now.

Help! My cube is just showing blue with the lighter blue flashing by. I cannot figure it out, I have unplugging and replugged. I’ve tried the reset from holding the mute and the volume down. Nothing is working.

Has anyone came across this sound problem from my gen 3 cube. The wife accidentally pressed a button, possibly the tv button and now I have 2 soundtracks playing at the same time, the TV channel and whatever I’m playing. I played around with different settings and managed to stop the tv soundtrack, however, when I switch between hdmi inputs for the tv then back to the cube I get 2 soundtracks again. It’s driving me nuts.

Using a denon avr3806. Cannot find a denon ir profile that works properly. One of them controls power on/off properly but not volume and another controls volume but not on/off. Is there anyway to locate the ir profile for the denon 3806 and type it in manually. All internet searches turn up nothing.

My fire cube has problems playing apps. Disney+, paramount+,ect. I thought it was the apps them selves, but when I use a firestick in another room it works fine.

Is there a fix for this.

Fire TV Cube randomly turns TV or receiver on sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I often walk by the tv and either the tv is turned on or the receiver is turned on. If I use the remote it will turn off the receiver and turn on the tv or vice versa. I have to unplug the Fire tv to get everything turned off again.

Im paralyzed so I use the microphone to navigate my cube I can open my apps with my voice command but when I have the app open it won't let me scroll left or right or select anything it was working the other day now nothing if anyone could help I would extremely appreciate it

My firetv cube works to change the channels on my cable box sometimes and sometimes it doesn’t.

Sometimes it goes to the wrong channel.
