Drone will not Connect to WiFi

Your drone will not connect to WiFi.

Mobile App not Installed to Device

Your drone will need to pair with the mobile app on your device to connect to WiFi. To download the app, you can either scan the Quick Response (QR) code found in the drone instruction manual, or on the box. If you cannot find the QR code, you can search for the app in your device’s app store using the search tag provided in the instruction manual.

Out of WiFi Control Range

Ensure you are within the 82 foot WiFi-control radius. If not, your drone is out of range. You must operate your drone within this range.

Signal Interference

The signal transmitting from your drone to your device may be experiencing interference from a nearby power source such as power lines or cell phone towers.

Scan the area of your flight zone for any such source and redirect your drone’s flight path away from the source.

Throttle Stick in Wrong Position

There are two ways to control your drone: from the controller or from the app on your device. When switching between the controller and device, pull the throttle stick on the controller to the lowest position before switching.

The Drone is not Paired with Controller

Ensure the indicator light on the controller is on. If it is on, there may be signal interference. Turn both the drone and the controller off, wait five seconds, then restart the drone and power on the controller. If the indicator light does not turn on, the controller battery needs to be replaced. For steps to do so, please visit the Udi Discovery U818A FPV Controller Battery Replacement.

Scan the area of your flight zone for any such source and redirect your drone’s flight path away from the source.

SD Card is Unseated

Ensure the SD card is properly seated in the SD-card slot located on the camera. To do so, remove the SD card from the slot, make sure the metal side of the card is facing up, and then reinsert the card into the slot.

SD Card is not Formatted Correctly

If the SD card is seated properly and you still cannot view images, the card may need to be reformatted.
