Does your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum stop moving unexpectedly after a few minutes of normal movement? Shark ION Robot R75 vacuums are susceptible to a range of problems that could cause them to freeze during use. Check the following possible causes to identify and solve the problem.

If your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum stops moving unexpectedly after a few minutes of normal movement, it may simply have low battery power. Check that the device is powered on and that the battery has a significant charge. If the vacuum has a low battery charge, put it back in its charging dock and allow it to charge for several hours before trying to use it.

If your Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum is charged fully and is still unable to move, there may be obstructions in the device’s wheels. Check to make sure that the front and rear wheels of the vacuum are able to move freely and are clear of any debris that may prevent the wheels from moving.

Clogged Main Brush

If the Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum’s wheels are clear of debris and the vacuum is still not cleaning up debris, check the main brush for clogged debris, as well. If you find a build-up of hair or debris in the main brush, remove the end cap of the main brush and clear it of any hair or debris. Use a damp microfiber cloth to clean out dirt or hair built-up on the brush, cap, and cleaning bristles. If you have removed any obstructions from the Shark ION Robot R75 vacuum’s wheels and the robot is still not moving, its drive motors may be worn out. If the robot is having trouble moving even on smooth, hard surfaces, one or both of the drive motors may need to be replaced. Make sure that all obstructions are free from the robot’s wheels and that the wheels do not need to be replaced.
