Have you checked the sound settings in the phone?
Go to Settings > Device > Sound and check that the Sound Profile setting is not set to Silent. Also check that the Quiet Time setting has not be set for particular times.
Try starting the phone in ''safe mode'' and then check to hear if the sounds work OK. If they are working now then a downloaded app may be the cause of the problem. The trick is to find out which one.
If there is still no sound which audio speaker is not working?
The phone's receiver, loudspeaker or when a headphone is inserted or all three?
