Background
Logitech Harmony is a home automation platform that was created by Logitech. This platform includes universal remote controls, an iOS + Android app and a hub. Devices that can be controlled with Harmony include TV's, game consoles, cable boxes, smart lights, smart thermostats, smart locks and other devices that connect to Wi-Fi. The remote control directs a system of instructions to the system components to shape them for activity that the user selects through infrared or radio frequency.
Next, the Harmony keyboard includes the Harmony Hub along with a keyboard containing a built-in trackpad. Logitech's previous K400 keyboard and trackpad combo seems to be similar to the Logitech Harmony Smart Keyboard, excluding some of the keys and buttons that have been changed with others that are more useful to a home theater remote. It lacks a display screen, supports three activities, and has the capacity to be purchased as an add-on addition for owner of a Harmony Home Hub. Lastly, it controls up to 8 devices.
Identification
The Harmony Smart Hub and Smart Keyboard, released March 2014, supports three activities and can control up to 8 devices. This comes with a built-in track pad and Harmony-specific USB receivers, but lacks a display screen.
