P510 won't turn on
You press the 'on/off' button but the 'on/off' button remains unlit, the LCD screen doesn't display anything, and you can't take pictures
Bad Motherboard

Bad LCD Screen

P510 has been dropped and damaged
You have dropped your camera and now there is a crack in the lens, can't see anything when looking through the camera, or the camera outside has been cracked
Can't see through the lens to take pictures

You have to charge new batteries in the camera, in case you didn’t do that.

My camera gives great view to take the pictures yet when I view them, they are very dark and hard to see. Seem like a display bulb or something

If it won’t turn on after charging for at least an hour, you may just need a new battery — about £5 on Ebay. Just bought one myself as I had the same problem but no drops of any kind. Specify Nikon Coolpix P510 in the Search.

I've owned (1) Coolpix P510, and (5) Coolpix P520 Cameras. The original charger stopped charging the battery, so I bought a Vivitar Wall Charger and Vivitar Battery and that solved the issue.
I have had these Cameras Not "Turn on". By Pressing the Picture Playback button on the back of the Camera, the Camera Turned "On" and fixed the issue with the "On/Off" switch.

My p510 coolpix messages-this card cannot be used. tried multiple cards,same results. If I remove memory card,I am able to view older pictures. After a few minutes ,the on/off light blinks. Does it sound like the main board has failed rendering this camera to the junk pile? Thanks
