Hi Thushar, That is most likely caused by a third party program causing the computer to crash constantly and in your case, to not being able to boot in normal mode. When your Mac boots on safe mode it prevents third-party programs to load, so we can safely assume something you installed recently is causing the issue. Go back to any programs you might have installed or updated recently, and either roll back the updates or uninstall them and see if that fixes the issue. In any case, I would recommend backing up all the important data while you are on safe mode, so in case you can’t figure out what program is causing the issue you can reinstall a clean version of your OS. Hi Maria, With the information you have provided, it seems that the screen needs to be replaced. The fact that half the screen is black tells us that the internal LCD is damaged and needs replacing. It could also have become dislodged from its connector inside, but I believe that to be much more unlikely. The good news is that although the LCD is damaged, it’s very possible that the touch screen is not, and you can replace just the LCD, saving some money in the process. Hi Cinae79, Replacing the IC chip is something that is doable, although you will need a reworking heat gun, a soldering station, and other materials and parts that if you do not already own, can render this fix very non-cost-effective. You can see the process in this video. As you can see, it’s a very technical fix and needs a lot of specialized tools. You can do an online search for iPhone motherboard repair and/or iPhone IC replacement and some websites will pop up with options. Depending on how much it costs, you will have to weigh if it’s worth it to perform the repair or buy a new phone.

If the battery has started to expand it is not safe. You need to replace and dispose of the damaged battery and get a new one. Those batteries can explode and/or catch on fire and should be handled with great care.
