Why is it on the dark screen

Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if you get a display from the laptop showing on it.

Don't forget to press the Fn+F5 keys (both together) to switch the display from the laptop screen to the external display.

If there is a display on the external monitor then there's a problem with the laptop screen. Switch the display back to the laptop and then shine a flashlight close to the laptop screen and check if you can see any images on the screen at all. They will be very faint if they are there so trying in a darkened room may help to see them.

If there are images seen then there's a backlight problem with the screen.

If there are no images seen there's problem on the motherboard, video cable or the screen

If there's no display on the external monitor, then either the laptop hasn't started i.e. did not pass POST (power on self test) or there's a motherboard problem and further testing would be required.
