Either it wasn't screwed in properly in the first place (how long ago was it changed?) and didn't have enough thread purchase to hold it in or it was screwed in too tight which can cause the plug to malfunction and break down and blow out.
You didn't specify the engine size but assume it's a 2.2L so 18N*m (13Ft*lbs force) is the torque value used for tightening spark plugs.
Also try not to install plugs when the engine is still hot as it may cause the plug not to be seated properly/twist etc as the engine cools.
In the end you can only try installing a new plug (with the correct torque) and check if it occurs again
