I would like to ask, if I could install a newer motherboard (from the mc pro early 2011) into an older model (mid 2009) so I don't have to buy a whole new mac book pro, just replace the motherboard?

I can't be 100% certain as i do not have both with me; but based on looking at the manuals, the cables appear to be different, so i would have to say that without also changings other components (camera cable, ODD cable), it will not work.
