No image on my LCD screen

My camera turns on and the menu settings show up on the screen but there is no image coming through the viewer. It started working again for a little while but has stopped working again which leads me to think it is something loose. Can anyone help?

@chucke does it still take pictures just does not show them on the screen?

It does not take pictures or show the image on the screen. The screen shows the settings such as "auto" on it.
