Ripped tape from LCD to Speakers, is this a problem?

When removing the LCD, I tore the tape while trying to remove it.

Its the pieces from the LCD along the bottom onto the speakers.

Are those essential for electrical contact?

Thanks

Do you mean the tape at Step 45 of this guide?

It's not ideal but I don't think it makes a lot of difference either way. Sometimes the tape just won't adhere properly (like during a second repair) and it causes no issues. So I doubt the tape being torn would cause any issues.

That's it, thank you.

I'm just concerned because now the home button isn't responding.

Maybe it's the new digitizer assembly?

Probably, however there are a lot of gotcha's when it comes to properly assembling a mini digitizer. Make sure the bottom of the digi looks like this picture (Sostituzione gruppo pannello anteriore iPad Mini WiFi). If you see exposed contacts like on Step 62, you need to cover those with an anti-static tape (Kapton).
