3 yr old Grandson stuck 2 disc into dvd drive finally got then out.but never worked again. So I bought a new dvd drive the one same drive to relpace it.
But I am getting error 160-1402
New here just join today .Looking for help ! thanks again

I had the same problem when I replaced my sons drive. I removed the circuit board on the bottom of the old drive and put it on the new drive. Works great now!

Thanks for the answer, but when we don't have the old board's IC, how can we proceed?
How do I remove the old circuit board?
