Hope that you’ve solved the issue. I’d like to give you some advice.

1. Ensure your HDD is not near full capacity. Run an error scan on it. Is it a typical HDD or an SSHD or solid flash drive SSD. Each has different things to look for and optimize like trimming, defrag etc..
2. Do a virus scan. Windows has a pretty nice one free “windows defender” also run a malware scanner.
3. The typical other factor is heat which causes many different issues. Open up the case and see how the dust factor, cat hair etc is doing… Duster it out not spray with can upside down will damage your circuits. Also ensure all the fans are operating should have at least one in and one out fan but it really depends on the unit and if its a laptop cleaning is a little harder but can get duster up in the monitor/base area god typically where the fans are exhausting and some in fans on side. Don’t spray the dust in the unit.
