How to fix PS4 Bluetooth receiver?

Hi, i am facing a problem with my PS4 i.e. while playing game PS4 stop receiving commands from the controller and then it executes all the commands at once which looks like game play is working on its own.

Reason why i am suspecting that the problem is with PS4 bluetooth reception is that i have faced the same issue with two separate controllers where as both the controllers are working perfectly fine on an other PS4.

I replaced the Bluetooth receiver and now system goes ab out an hour ish then starts with the connectivity issues again... Maybe a cooling issue?

I had this issue only when an External USB drive was connected. Once I disconnected it the problems went away.

Could be the comm chip but i would check the WiFi antenna first. Riparazione Antenna Bluetooth PS4 danneggiata da caduta o difettosa

Thank You for the awesome fix, first time I did not realize their were 2 wires and of course the fix didn't work. After I realizedthere were 2 wires like a coaxle TV antenna wire the fix worked great! Again Thank You Very Much! Also tried it like someone posted about not using the metal at all just stripped 1" of wire & 1/8" of shielding wire so two wires aaren't touching, this worked also, No Solder Needed! Unbelievable Son & I lived with this nightmare for 3 years, mostly he did. Unit took a fall His Freshman Year at College. I had thought maybe a broken PC board(green board)!

Bought a ps4 for $100 but had severe controller issues with lag and disconnecting when I brought it home. I followed these instructions and saw that the antenna was smashed in and the solder was broken so I bent everything back into place and luckily had a solder iron and now it works like new, thanks man!

I've ran into this issue before as well. You're going to need to replace the wireless comms chip. Here is my old post on this topic.

I'm having the same issue man, but on top of all that the paddle will disconnect and shut off. But then I can reconnect and it will play for about 5 maybe 10 minutes then repeats these issues :/ I need help myself...

mine does this as well. I sit closer to tv and playstation any and all controllers, 4 if them worm fine... I have two new joysticks on way but I need to check my wife and antenna

I am going to save all you a lot of money and headaches i had this problem and come to find out there is an antenna that runs to the bluetooth chip on the board that was unplugged, plugged it back and no more problems.

Just buy the cronusmax and it will work with your ps4 controller.. it works great

Thanks for the reply. By any chance have u tried setting up your system (out of the box) with the cronomax. without the Bluetooth chip /ps4 ccontroller a simple answer would suffice thanks again makes me abit happy to know there's a possibility for me to get it working without opening up my system

and if not the bluetooth? I initializes the system and now I get a window that says, "to use this device connect it using a USB cable or register you again" but I press the PS button and does not work, in safe MODE if it works, but in no way will not then it could be a software problem, if someone has a control cable could prove whether this works in the selection window user selection or setup, or safe mode.

i found two fixs it may b a flash corruption worsecase in which u have to do a nor dump with certain hardware n software sec is bluetooth chip replacement. Those theonly two i found so far. Try the mk pad. G.l

I have the same problem. Did you found a solution for it? I suspect that safe mode is use the usb cable to communicatie with the console and the "normal"mode uses bluetooth, but I do not have any proof for this.

yes exactly u need to change bluetooth module whc is available in chine from i bought and it works fine . u can reball it or just make connection with wires

Just buy a cronusmax plus worked like a charm!!! I completely removed my blutooth module and didn't fix the problem. The cronusmax plus worked perfectly..

im having this same issue. im thinking about buying a third party controller the chip or a cronomax. i formatted my game. can u please verify. that i can use a third party controller or cronomax to bypass connect usb press homebutton setup screen

im having this same issue. im thinking about buying a third party controller example horipad or chip or a cronomax. i formatted my game. stuck at connect usb press homebutton setup screen. can someone try to bypass the setup using a third party device please

I currently have this problem as well, did everything I could so I was talking to Somebody in the Sony live chat website and they say that I'll have to send it in for repair. Is there any other working option tho?

Why the &&^& can't Sony just use an old school wire connection instead of this Bluetooth horseshit? Now Apple expects me to buy their new IPhone with no headphone jack- only $@$*!& ass Bluetooth and wireless headphones? Bluetooth is total crap and these want to be high rollers looking like &#@& with their gay add Bluetooth gadgets hanging on their ears. Bluetooth is ruining basic electronics from working....cordless crap

This is an old thread with many actual views so just for playing get the new ds4 controller the one that comes with ps4 slim or ps4 pro with the gray joysticks connect via USB to your ps4 and goto settings->devices->controller and set it to usb instead of Bluetooth. This option only appears when you connect the new controller. Audio and chat will not work with this mode. For chat and audio get an astro mixamp connect your headset and boom your ps4 is playable again.

I'f u have already taken the PlayStation apart id recommend looking at the antenna and see if that wire is soldered at both points because that's the Bluetooth wireless transmitter and it has to have a gap u will notice when u see it. Just fixed my roommates for him he almost threw it away and bought a new PS4 lol. All you have to do is bend it back into the correct placement solver and re solder the wire to both points. Don't be shy to expose more wire just be carful it's a really thin hairlike wire

devonte im talking about thw setup screen. say u get a brand new system never playes it yet turns it on 1st thing they ask is to connect a controller and press the home button. the cronus didnt help u get pass that screen? if that fail well theres the horipad which is a usb controller if that fails i guess have to switch the bluetooth module chip in the system
