Assembling after Logic Board Replacement

Hi,

Im replacing logic board in an iPad Mini 1. Originally the board is stick with sort of metal tissue pieces to the bottom of the device, I suspect metal is used deliberately :).

The problem is those metal things is quite difficult to re-use, what would you do? Metal scotch is quite expensive and using foil just looks wrong...

I think it's there for the heat, like you said. I've assembled them without it, and it works fine. But, like you said, the tape isn't cheap. They aren't putting it in there for the !&&* of it. I'd try reusing it if you can...

Im not totally sure its just for the heat... Lightning cable has the same contact areas as the board, but I doubt it heats up...
