Why doesnt my touch screen work
i can get notifications and see things on my screen but the touch is unresponsive. what can i do/try?

Hard restart hold power and home button together at same time for 7 seconds then let go of home and keep pressing power..
What happened it to make it unresponsive more info needed

You may just need to restore the iPhone using iTunes if this doesn't work it's most probably your digitizer (the thing that controls the touch). The flex may be disconnected or you may just need a new screen. Use this guide for help.
