In this replacement guide, step-by-step instructions show how to approach replacing the fuse in the power cord plug of the Vornado Duo.

    • Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet device.

    • Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

    • Remove fuse carefully by gently prying out the ends of the fuse from the receptacle again using the driver with the 2mm flathead.

    • Risk of fire. Replace fuse only with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse.

    • Install replacement fuse by first placing the end of the fuse into the fuse receptacle which is opposite of the blades of the plug, then carefully push in the other end. (Only push against the metal end of the fuse, not the glass center portion)

    • Close the fuse access cover by sliding the cover back into the plug until it is completely closed, latches and is flush with the face of the plug. (Risk of fire. Do not replace attachment plug. Contains a safety device that should not be removed.)

Probably a damaged circuit board capacitor, search out a micro-electronic repair shop. Or, authorized dealer. Often you can find a repair that understands multiple board systems and can easily test and repair your fan. An example, Apple technologies.

People are scaring you not to replace with non-fuse plugs. Many appliances like toaster and blender have no fuses. I replaced with a plug without a fuse and my fan works perfectly. So don't listen to scammers
