    • Unscrew the heater's brackets using a wrench on the nut, typically size 8.

    • Take a Picture: Before disconnecting anything, take a picture of the wiring for reference during reassembly.

    • Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nuts securing the heating element terminals. Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from the heating element.

    • Unscrew the screw that holds the heater clamped to the cabinet.

    • Locate the heating element, usually a U-shaped metal tube at the bottom, remove the heater from the dishwasher and take it to a store to match a new one visually.

    • Install the new heater by reversing the removal process.
