MiP Will Not Communicate with my Smart Device

MiP is not following the commands given from the smart device.

Software Error

The MiP may have a temporary software error. Try restarting the MiP using the power switch on the back. Switch it off for 20 seconds, then power it on and try reconnecting to your Smart Device.

Low Battery

Low battery power may cause a slowdown or loss of functionality of the MiP. Replace the batteries using this guide.

Bluetooth Is Not Enabled on Your Smart Device

Enable Bluetooth on your smart device. Navigate to your device’s settings to enable this feature.

Out of Range

The MiP's Bluetooth range is rated up to 10 meters (33 feet) in optimal conditions. Ensure there are no excessive obstructions and you are away from any strong sources of interference (e.g. microwaves ovens, Wi-Fi access points, etc.). Then attempt to reconnect to MiP with your Smart Device

The Application on Your Device Might Not Be Installed Correctly

Delete the WowWee MiP app from your Smart Device and reinstall it.

The WowWee MiP application can be found on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Connection Between Your MiP and Smart Device Is Lost

Try reconnecting your Smart Device to the MiP.

  1. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your Smart Device
  2. Power on the MiP using the power switch on the back
  3. Open the WowWee MiP app on your Smart Device
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to pair with your MiP

MiP Keeps Falling Over

MiP will not balance or stand upright.

MiP is Not Powered On

Turn on the MiP using the power switch on the back.

Software Error

The MiP may have a temporary software error. Try restarting the MiP using the power switch on the back. Switch it off for 20 seconds, then power it on.

Low Battery

Low battery power may cause a slowdown or loss of functionality of the MiP. Replace the batteries using this guide.

The Wheels are Stuck or Damaged

Dust and dirt may gather in the wheels or axels of the MiP. Follow this guide to remove the MiP's wheels and clean them.

The Accelerometer or Gyroscope Sensors May Be Malfunctioning

The sensors may be malfunctioning and need replacing.

The Motors may be Damaged or Malfunctioning

If the wheels are clear of obstructions or damage, the motors may be malfunctioning.

If one or more motors is moving too slow or not at all, the wheels have excessive resistance to movement, too little resistance, or make strange noises the motor may be malfunctioning.

MiP Will Not Power On

MiP does not show any sign of turning on.

Low Battery

If the light on MiP's head does not turn on and it does not respond to any of your commands, then its batteries are dead. Replace the batteries using this guide.

MiP Cannot Detect Obstacles

MiP cannot detect obstacles and may collide with objects.

Software Error

The MiP may have a temporary software error. Try restarting the MiP using the power switch on the back. Switch it off for 20 seconds, then power it on.

Low Battery

If MiP is responding slowly or not at all, it may be a sign that its batteries need to be replaced. Replace the batteries using this guide.

Dirty or Covered Sensors

The Infrared Sensors located above the MiP's eyes may be dirty or covered. Ensure nothing is covering the sensors and make sure they are clean. Clean the sensors with a clean cloth and a light application of rubbing alcohol on the cloth. Gently rub the sensor until clean and restart the MiP.

MiP Will Not Respond to Hand Commands

MiP does not respond to hand gestures.

Hand Movements Are Too Fast

Make slow, deliberate gestures. Do not make fast hand motions or the MiP may not recognize the gesture.

Hand Movements Are Not in the MiP's Line of Sight

MiP cannot detect hand gestures from the sides or behind. Perform all hand gestures in front of the MiP's sensor located in from of its eyes.

Dirty or Covered Sensors

Just unboxed MIP. Tried powering up MIP with new duracell batteries. Wont power up.

I bought MiP Robot from Amazon Japan. After putting the battery on, the robot cannot stand.

What should I do? I am in Thailand now.. my Robot number is X000DH2T3V (P-3-C382D461).
