When you press the power button the printer does not turn on

If the printer is not turning on, first check to make sure that it is plugged in. If it is not, plug it in and try to turn it on.

If the printer is plugged in and still does not turn in, the wall outlet may be bad. Try plugging something else into the wall outlet to see if it works. If not, plug the printer into a different wall outlet and try to turn it on.

If the wall outlet works but the printer still does not turn on, the power supply may be bad. In this case it is necessary to replace the power supply. You can purchase one online or through the manufacturer.

If the power supply is not the issue, the motherboard may be bad. In this case, you will need to replace the motherboard.

When the printer is prompted to print nothing happens

If the printer does not respond when being prompted to print, first make sure that the USB cord is connected to the computer. If it is not, connect it to the computer and try to print.

If the printer is connected to the computer and still doesn't print, it may be out of paper. Check to make sure there is paper in the feeder. If there is not, load some paper and try to print.

If there is paper in the feeder and it still doesn't print, the printer may be out of ink. In this case the ink cartridges need to be replaced. Replace the ink cartridges and try to print.

If the printer has new ink cartridges and still does't print, the ink cartridges may not be installed correctly. If this is the case, make sure all of the ink cartridges are pressed down until they snap into place and make sure the cartridge cover is snapped into place as well.

If the ink cartridges are installed correctly and the printer still doesn't print, the printer motor may be damaged. In this case, you will need to replace the printer motor.

The printer continuously has paper jams

If the printer continuously has paper jams, first make sure that the paper tray is not overloaded. The printer holds a maximum of 30 sheets of paper in the automatic tray. If there is more than this, or if the paper exceeds the fill line, remove some paper and try to print.

If the paper does not exceed the fill line and the printer still jams, the paper in the tray may be curled or wrinkled. Check to make sure the paper does not have and curled wrinkled edges. If it does, replace the paper and try to print.

If the paper in the tray is not curled or wrinkled, the printer may have a faulty paper eject frame assembly. In this case, you will need to replace the paper eject frame assembly.

The printer works but the prints are not satisfactory

If the printer is producing poor quality prints, the ink may be low. If the ink is low, the ink cartridges will need to be replaced. Replace the ink cartridges and check to see if the print quality is better.

If the ink cartridges are not low and the print quality is still poor, the print head may be dirty or damaged. In this case, you will need to clean or replace the print head.

When the printer is prompted to scan nothing happens

If the scanner is unresponsive when prompted to scan, the printer may need to be restarted. To do this, turn off the printer and unplug it for a few minutes. After this, plug the printer back in and turn it on. Allow the printer to start up and then try to scan.

If the printer still doesn't scan after restarting it, the computer may need to be restarted. In this case, restart your computer and try to scan.

If the printer still doesn't scan after restarting the computer, the scan button may not be working. In this case, you will need to remove the button and clean underneath it. If cleaning the button doesn't fix the issue, you may need to replace it.
