Device Will Not Charge

It will only sometimes power up while plugged in.

Faulty Power charger/power supply

Ensure the charger is plugged in to a working outlet and the green charge light turns on. If the light is not on, and is plugged in to a working outlet, the charger is faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement charger.

Check your battery drivers

The battery drivers may not be up to date and if they are, try reinstall them.

The operating system has a bug

There is a history of OS errors related to the battery function. There were OS updates that fixed this that were released after the original purchase. Try updating your OS and check whether the problem persists.

Faulty Battery

If the charger is working make sure the charger is correctly to the charging port. If the Laptop powers up while plugged into the charger and powers down when unplugged or has very low battery life after sufficient charging periods, the battery is faulty. Keyboard Problems

Some or all of the keys on the keyboard are not working.

Loose Ribbon connector

If the entire keyboard stops responding, then possible underlying cause could be a loose cable connector. Try following this guide to disassemble and check the ribbon connector.

Damaged keyboard assembly

The keyboard assembly may have broken due to water damage or being dropped. In this case the keypad assembly is faulty. Try following this guide to disassemble and check the cable connector or consider replacing the keypad if it appears to be damaged.

Specific Keys Aren't Working

If specific keys stop working, then clean the keyboard and check for any dirt or residue underneath or between the keys. If this doesn't work, then try using this replacement guide.

Device Overheating

While in use, excessive heat warnings appear or it shuts itself down without notification.

Reduced Air Flow

A buildup dust and other materials stuck in the vents or fan can slow airflow. This decrease in air movement means that the computer components can overheat. To fix this, a compressed air duster may be used to blow the dust off the vents and fan.

Faulty cooling Fan

If there is no airflow from the exhaust vent located on the left side of the laptop the fan is not working. Try following this guide to check the fan power cable is properly connected or if you find the fan has failed replace the fan assembly.

Device Will Not Turn On

There are no indications that the device is turning on.

Broken Power Button

Screen Won't Turn On

The computer is on but the display screen is off.

Disabled display setting

The device may be set to projector mode. To check while holding the "Windows key" press the "P" key two times.

Also check if the laptop is able to project to an external monitor or television with an HDMI cable.

The display may also be disabled. Try Holding the "Fn" key and pressing the "F2" key to cycle through the display settings.

Damaged Screen

If there is viable damage to the screen causing all or part of the screen not to work consider replacing it by fallowing this guide.

When turned on, it comes up with the Boot mode is set to: UEFI:  Secure boot : ON

also, when I did a short self test it came up with Error code 2000-0142 Validation 83090

Msg: Hard Drive O-S/N  WX11AB2U7222, short self test unsuccessful. Afterwards I did a full test and it said full test successful. With no errors
