Hi @sknzzn

Did you try resetting the BIOS as per Step.5 of the ifixit MSI GF65 10UE Battery Replacement guide?

Did you disconnect the main battery from the motherboard before commencing the fan replacement?

If the reset as described in the guide above didn't work, what is the model number of the motherboard (printed on board itself)?

If it is an MS-16W1 then here are the schematics as you may need them.

it's ms16w1 thank you for your response I took it to a repair shop they said it's a main board problem

Unfortunately there's a lot of videos online that show how to open laptops and replace parts etc but not too many show disconnecting the battery as soon as possible once the cover has been removed and before doing anything else inside the laptop.

The laptop's Power on button is not a power isolating button. Its function is to signal the motherboard I/0 chipset what the user wants done e.g. turn on, wake up etc, so there always a bit of power somewhere on the motherboard even when the laptop is turned off, which makes it more susceptible to electrical damage during repair work, if the battery is not disconnected. Physical or ESD damage by the repairer is another matter of course.

Cheers

well it's a new experience for me, I should remember to disconnect the battery before doing anything, I hope the guys at the repair shop can fix it and it's not and expensive mistake 😅

Did you replace it with a fan that's 100% compatible with your mainboard?

The above discussion about not disconnecting the battery before doing the replacement could also have caused the problem.

Another possibility is that you may have accidentally knocked off some small component(s) from the mainboard when you were prying open the laptop. Happens when the object you use to pry it open slips into the components near the edge of the mainboard. Knocking off even a single capacitor or diode can cause problems.
