i need help i have and iPod touch 3gen 32 gb whit no back light after water damage but everything else work fine i change the screen whit a new one but no luck still dark Anny ideas

I would try holding the home button and hold button at the same time while its connected to the computer for ten seconds. If the ipod powers off and turns back on with an apple symbol then your ok. If it turns off but doesnt come back on in less than 6 seconds youll need a new back light i.c. The i.c. cannot be removed without a hot air knife because it uses pad undermount solder joints not accessible with a soldering gun. I explained it above in earlier posts...
