You must wait until the router fully reboots after resetting. This can take up to 10 minutes. I know one would expect that once the "reset" happens and the LED goes through the reset sequence, that the router would be reset. But that is not the case, after the reset sequence (fading in pulses then bright red) the router must completely reboot (load the firmware) before the reset is complete. Any interruption before full reboot will negate the reset.

The steady blue light that does not blink or change color in response to the reset button or a power cycle seems to be a fault condition.

The manual states to hold the reset for 10+ seconds. Nothing happens.

Elsewhere on the web people describe needing to give it more time, but those suggestions are in response to a unit rebooting - my constant blue light system does not reboot or change in any way when the reset buttons is hit.

I notice the blue light is slightly less bright than a working node - so I tried a different , known working power supplies with no change.

Finally, the unresponsive unit does not broadcast any SSID, and when connected via Ethernet, does not register.

I think it is dead, Jim.

Confirmed.

I determined that the nodes are reaching end of life or a firmware update is corrupting the device. I purchased a few additional units as refurbished and one of them is also showing the same issue after using it for 2 months, so I purchased an entirely new mesh system that works way faster.

Bottom line, if a Linksys node is not connecting and not resetting it's dead. Even the one I was able to reset didn't stay in service for more than a day.

Disabling Auto update didn't seem to prevent the update.
