Missing Diodes / Resistors?

Missing Diodes / Resistors?

Hello all!

So i’m trying to make my quarantine as quick as possible So I bought myself a PS4 with a broken HDMI port the pads are still intact it’s just the middle plastic bit of the port has snapped off, I have some experience with hot air / soldering already, upon closer inspection the board appears to be missing 3 components, two I believe to be a DJ diode?

Will the console work without these?

If not what are the names of each component so I can start my shopping list.

Update: after using the PS4 for about a week there are no issues without the components so if anyone has the same issue, the PS4 will work fine withought them :)

An HDMI port can be bought new or can be found on many scrap equipment desoldered then refitted to your machine. As for the apparently missing components! it is likely they were never fitted intentionally by the manufacture’s. Looking at the print side if the pads are clean then this may be correct.

I reflowed them with some leaded solder they did look a bit iffy, but after replacing the HDMI port I now get a picture, but if I move the HDMI cable while it's plugged in, the TV flickers then goes back to normal I have soldered all the pins on the port with a soldering iron and none of them move, I think what I need is a rectifier diode and a 2K resistor, I'll let you know if this makes any difference :)

This ASH? It would seem the answer i gave him was no good at all but funnily enough it was correct.

I can see why you would think that

But before I reflowed them there were bits of components left on the pads so they may be protection diodes or something
