I’ve seen some people changing the whole front screen, taking out the battery and placing into the new screen. So the new screen should have adhesive inside already?

No phone is 100% waterproof to begin with. If you want to change the screen and frame buy a samsung service pack as it will be the same as factory.

You can buy a replacement screen aftermarket, get it with the frame. It will be waterproof if you reseal the back cover. But that depends on how good your work is. You. Have to take the back cover off to take the phone apart to replace the screen. So it all depends on who puts it back together and if they seal it correctly.
