Need a HDD USB adapter to access data from old HDD
Old Toshiba Satellite M45 HDD, the regular 2.5 and 3.5 adapters won’t fit.
. I need to access and move files from this HDD.

You have a PATA (IDE) drive with an adapter frame for your system. You’ll need to remove the adapter frame to gain access to the pin interface just below it.
The IFIXIT Universal Drive Adapter will allow you to connect your old drive.

victor wamiti, sure it will. Just remove the drive from the caddy by removing the 6 screws. you will find that the drive is a standard Fujitsu MHT2080AT 80GB 4200 RPM 8MB Buffer ATA/IDE-100 Ultra 44-pin 2.5 Inch 9.5mm Notebook Hard Drive. Here is the data sheet for the actual HDD MHT2080AT, MHT2060AT, MHT2040AT, MHT2030AT, MHT2020AT DISK DRIVES PRODUCT MANUAL
