I checked the headphone jack to see and confirm that the color was white. Then, I have turned it on after i have got it off the toilet, but the power still works.
The only problem is that the screen does not work and I would like to know what I could do to fix it?

You could either buy a new digitizer and try replacing the screen. Or just sell on eBay. But since it has water damage buying a new screen might not be the best idea. Hope I can help!

i had the same problem got water damage due to my daughter threw it in the toilet. it works for a while but then the screen goes black.

If you hadn't turned it on you could have dried it out fine,
Because you have turned it on when wet you will have shorted it out somewhere which will cause permanent damage to the touch, I dropped my old iPhone in the bath dried it out in rice and with a hairdryer for a week and plugged it in and bam one clean dry iPhone, my mrs did the same thing but in a puddle with her iPhone, tried to turn it on and nothing but a light, screen lit up white, I dried it out the same way I did mine and it was not good, couldn't get it repaired due to damage so had to buy a new one
