You can try disassembling the laptop and check if the connection between the motherboard and touchpad is loose. It is possible that the connection got loose because of the bump/hit. Else, the touchpad maybe damaged, and in this case, you need to contact a repair technician.

This is unfortunately a video of the Acer Aspire R11, hinge replacement, so some screws may be different, but the concept is the same. so the skillsets are transferrable.

Be sure to keep the adhesive as warm as you can to allow for easier removal.

If there is no break or burning in the screen, you can relax in the screen clips. You should open the device and put the dog in its proper place. If you can not do this, you should go to the mobile maintenance mechanic

If your a personal user and not a student I would look for the repair guide or take apart the device and get the serial number or part number of the device. Look it up and order the part. When repairing make sure the battery is unplugged this is extremely important. If your not comfortable I would take the device to a repair technician. Screens are really the easiest thing to fix.

a couple of days a go my laptop screen stoped working help

Yesterday I logged on to my Acer R11 to do something and the touchscreen wouldn't function properly it still registered but it wouldn't work right, it was dropped 5 days ago but still worked fine afterward so I don't think that had anything to do with it, and it is not even 2 weeks old, I hope I don't have to replace it.

I dropped mine during class and grabbed it right away. I found that I could not use the touchscreen but I could still use the stylus and the keyboard. And now while seeing how to fix it I somehow disabled the touchpad. This is the Chromebook pro by samsung.
