Where do I get a new battery?
I have a Kindle Fire 7 (SV98LN) fifth generation, opened it up and found that it has a battery with model MC-308594. I'm having the issue where it shuts off when between 74% and 94% of power. I want to get a replacement but only found two on EBay, and none on Amazon. I can find batteries for almost any other device. So where do I get a replacement battery? Or is it that Amazon would rather I just buy a new Kindle?

Well, I got my new battery. It installed much easier than when I took the old one out. For future reference, is there a way to release the battery easier? That glue/tape was the hardest part for me.

I got mine on eBay. Just do a search for "sv98ln battery"

Double check the connectors on the ebay batteries. I just got mine and it had a 7 wire connector vs. the OEM 6 wire connector. Needless to say, the new battery doesn't fit even though the seller claimed it did.

Regarding battery removal, I just saw a video where a hair dryer was used on the back cover before removing it. (Maybe 20-30 seconds)
