Follow along with this teardown and look for missing parts, loose pins, broken pieces, etc.
I'm not sure how the pistol will shoot with you're described problem, but look thru this and see if you can find something. Good luck.

This can be caused by several different things, ranging from damage to the sear or hammer spur to worn leaf spring to a bad trigger job. If you could provide more info I could help more.

Hi Darrel,
Follow down is most likely caused by negative sear engagement and/or not enough sear engagement. I recommend taking it to a trusted gunsmith to have it fixed. check out the hammer and sear engagement notches; if all looks like no one has messed with it, replace the sear/disconnector/grip safety flat spring. Then test with two rounds in the magazine until it proves itself.
