Is the problem only present during bootup or does it persist throughout use?
Does moving the screen aggrevate the problem or will it work in specific positions?
Are there artifacts like vertical or horizontal stripes present on the screen at any time?
Is the computer hot?
If you can answer these questions, then I might be able to tell you what's wrong.
