Can I replace the P8600 CPU?
I have a MacBook Pro 15" Unibody (model A1620). Can I replace the P8600 CPU with an identical replacement?

No - Apple (as most) laptop CPUs are soldered to the logic boards this is not a DIY sort of project. It's removal and replacement would require expensive tools and lots of experience.
You can replace the entire logic board, CPU included… that too is an advanced DIY project.
