It doesn’t look as though the insulation covering each wire has broken or if it has that it has broken and exposed two wires at the same point.
-If there is such exposure of the wires it “may” cause problems because a short circuit between two wires can cause damage.

-Other than that since it is in a low voltage circuit and not used in a circuit where “induction” between the wires may cause problems due to incorrect separation between the wires then I doubt that there has been any hardware problems created.
