This repair guide will help you with replacing the battery on your Acer Iconia Tab A500. Battery replacement might be needed when the battery inside the Acer Iconia Tab A500 is not functioning accordingly.

  1. Acer Iconia Tab A500 Battery Replacement, Back Case: passo 1, immagine 1 di 1

    • To start, gently separate one corner of the case using the black spudger.

    • Once you have successfully pried the spudger in between the front case and back case, continue do so around the entire tablet until the back case is completely disconnected.

    • Remove the 5mm screws that are securing the battery to the rest of the tablet.

    • Use the Phillips #00 Screwdriver to remove the 5mm screws.

    • Use the sharper end of the spudger to disconnect the battery from the mother board.

    • The battery connector will slide off.

I just replaced my battery because it kept draining and the new battery started to charge but now it won’t charger at all so what can be wrong?

Hi l have had my acer tablet for over 10 years and the acer iconiatab a500 as no been turned on for over 10 years and it is not cargering
