Background
Announced and released on May 7, 2019, the Pixel 3a is part of a budget line of Google’s third generation Pixel phones. It features the same camera as this generation’s flagships, but has a polycarbonate back, prominent display bezels, and a lower-powered processor.
Identification
The Google Pixel 3a is a mid-range smartphone, and was released as an affordable version of the flagship Pixel 3.
Identification of the Google Pixel 3a can be confirmed by navigating to the "About Phone" section in the phone's settings.
The Pixel 3a has several regional model numbers:
- G020E (Verizon)
- G020F (Europe, UK, APAC)
- G020G (North America)
- G020H (Japan)
The Pixel 3a comes in three colors: "Just Black," "Clearly White," and "Purple-ish." The device has a polycarbonate unibody a rear-mounted Pixel Imprint fingerprint sensor. On the back of the phone, there is a single camera lens on the top left corner and the Google logo towards the bottom. On the front face, it has noticeable top and bottom bezels, with the top bezel housing the front camera and speaker.
The Pixel 3a has "Google" printed on the back of the device towards the bottom. Unlike the Pixel, the 3a does not have a glass back, wireless charging, or water resistance.
