Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting Beats Studio First Generation
Background
On July 2008, after two years of research and development, Dr. Dre released his high-definition headphones: the Beats Studio. These headphones feature noise-cancellation, an ergonomic fit designed to be comfortable even after long hours of use, and inline controls on the audio cable.
These are the very first model of headphones released by Beats. They were manufactured by Monster before Beats severed relations with the company and began manufacturing their products in-house in 2012. The first generation of Beats Studio have a slightly thicker, fuller design with a heavier body. Another easy way to identify what generation Beats Studio you have is by the batteries: the first generation model runs on AAA batteries, while the second generation runs on AA batteries and the third generation has built-in rechargeable batteries.
Identification
The Beats by Dre Studio First Generation headphones model number (190003-00) is printed on the "R" side of the headphones on the inside of the headband.
