Your laptop is loading slower than usual.

Computers can be slowed down by many different conditions one of the most common being a cluttered hard drive. The easiest way to solve this problem would be to delete unnecessary files from your computer; another quick solution is to empty the recycle bin.

In order to run quickly, computers store information from recently opened apps in the Random-Access Memory (RAM). The easiest way to fix RAM issues is to restart the computer, which will clear the RAM. If the issue becomes frequent, you may need to upgrade your RAM.

This problem is not severe and can be fixed by opening the computer, taking the hard drive out of the slot, then putting it back into its slot. If the hard drive doesn’t show up after turning the computer on, you may need to replace it.

Hard drives tend to stop working or fail after a while (especially if it is an HDD, Solid state drives don’t tend to fail as often because they don’t contain moving parts). Multiple beeping noises or clinking noises are common indicators of failure. If failure has occurred, you will need to replace the hard drive.This is a last resort troubleshooting solution because new hard drives can be expensive depending on the size. After replacing the hard drive, you should contact a professional to retrieve the important data from the corrupted hard drive.

You have been trying to play discs but cannot get them to work.

Try using a different movie/program disc. If a different disc plays normally, the first disc is likely dirty, scratched, or has label damage. If the disc is dirty, clean it with a soft lint-free cloth and try it again. If there are scratches, they can likely be repaired with a CD scratch repair kit. (CD scratch repair kits are sold by most electronic stores and are relatively inexpensive). If there is damage on the label side of the disc, it cannot be repaired.

Dust may have accumulated on the disc reader, making it difficult for proper reading of the game disc. If the reader needs to be cleaned, use a cotton swab and a proper lens cleaning solution that can be found in any electronic store.

The disc drive is the device within the computer that allows your laptop to read a disc. There is a chance that the disc drive is not being recognized by your laptop; verify this under the device manager in the laptop settings. If connected but disc is still not working, you may need to replace the entire disc drive.

Disc loading errors, skipping, and freezing often result from a faulty disc drive. Some symptoms include:
