Battery not charging

The board is not responding to charger when plugged in.

Faulty charger

Make sure the charger is plugged into a grounded wall outlet.

Make sure there is no dust or debris in port.

If the green light located on the charger is not on and everything is plugged in properly, your charger is faulty.

Faulty Battery

Charge board your for 2.5 hours.

If board won’t turn on or won’t hold a charge your battery is faulty. Click here for directions for replacing your battery.

Board will not connect to remote

Board and remote are charged but they won’t connect.

Electrical malfunction

Power off your board and remote.

Power them back on and attempt to connect them.

Connect your board and remote

Press and hold the power button on both the board and remote for 3 seconds.

If this doesn't work, there may be debris in the buttons. Clear if possible.

If this still doesn’t work, you may need to open the casing and clear out debris or replace the buttons.

Electrical Failure on board

The battery is charged, but the board won’t respond to the direction.

Board motor seized up

Turn off your board and your remote, then power it back on.

If this didn’t work, try the next option

Board motor has failed

It may be that the wheel is jammed. Check for rocks, twigs or other debris.

Clear out any blockages if possible.

Board is overheating

Power off the board and allow it time to cool.

Board battery has failed

Plug your board in and allow it to charge.

Board is overheating

When you operate your Coast the board quickly overheats and shuts off.

There is potential damage to the charge port

First check to see if there is dust or debris in the charge ports and clear this out if possible.

If the problem persists, you may need to replace your charge port.

The battery is overcharged

You should only charge your board for 2.5 hours and never longer than 4 hours.

Be sure you are using the correct charger. Sometimes using a different charger can create problems.

If your battery is damaged, you can refer to this guide on “Replacing your battery”.

Riding your coast on rough terrain or up hills

Using the coast in this way can place strain on the motor.

Turn off your board and allow time to cool.

Motor Doesn’t Work

The board and remote are charged but the motor won’t respond to the remote.

Make sure the board and the remote are paired

Hold the power button down on both the board and remote for 3 seconds, a blue LED light will flash indicating that it is pairing, once the pairing is completed the light will stop flashing.

Faulty Motor

If the motor won’t turn on even when charged, you may need to replace the motor.

Failure to move

Board stops moving while you are riding it

Motorized wheel is jammed

Check for possible blockages in the wheel and attempt to unblock it.

Electrical Failure

Power off the board and remote and then turn them on again.

Overheating

Turn off both the board and remote and wait for the motor to cool down.

Battery is low

If the battery is 15% or lower the board will turn off, Charge the board and remote as soon as you can.
