Rispondi a "Error has occured. Press and hold the power button to turn off"The error message is due to the DS being updated to later firmware. The R4i no longer operates correctly as a result. To correct the issue, find an earlier DS or DSlite and flash the R4i card with the latest kernel. The file appears to be a game on the R4i menu. Select it and let the flash run until complete. This should fix the issue. How the DSi got updated is a mystery, unless its automatic while on-line. Mine has done the same thing. My son was playing, he shut off the game and returned to it later. This error appeared.

Rispondi a "3rd party wireless stick works with Xbox 360?"Greetings, Yes, Linksys makes/made a wireless gaming adapter for this purpose. You might find them around or something like it (ethernet to wireless). You could also go to DealExtreme.com and purchase a Chinese knock-off that works well. I have one. ...

Rispondi a "Hard Drive upgrade from 60 GB to 250 GB without special software"Greetings, Well, you would think since the XBOX is PPC based there would be tools in the OS X world. Uh, you may be able to install the "correct" model drive and have it recognized by the console. The reason for the tools is that you need to move the signature files off the old drive to the new, and format the drive in a manner that the 360 "likes." The reason for the specific drive is due to the 360's on board BIOS not recognizing most hard drive cylinder/head/sector layouts. Find a windows box or a friend with one. . . Hope this helps.

Rispondi a "Disk drive repair for console."Okay, just a note here. The DVD drive is KEYED, via inboard firmware, to each console. This encryption key prevents the games from being copied and the copy being played on the console. The key can be read and reflashed back on to a new drive but one cannot just pop the old drive out and pop a new drive in, in order to fix DVD issues.

Rispondi a "My xbox 360 would not read my disc!"So the story goes, M$ wanted the 360 to be thinner. The engineers had to then cut the heat sink under the DVD drive to accommodate the smaller space. As a result, the DVD over heats and eventually fails. Cleaning usually does not work, as the laser is sealed from the back and only the lens is exposed. I have attempted to replace the laser in one of mine and this yielded no difference in the performance of the console. LLAMA.COM has parts like the laser assembly if you are so inclined. Some game repair shops offer a DVD swap but you should know that the DVD firmware is keyed to firmware on board the main circuit board in the console. This requires one to "read" the encryption keys and then reflash the new drive with those keys. Hope this helps.
