my iphone four did the same but it was a minor error i made while reinstaling after placing the screen. i had trouble sliding in the sim card case so i dis assembled again and looked for any problems.i under moderboard you can see where the sim card enters there was a small rubber that protects the sim card as soon as i took that out reassembled. and turned it on there was heaven music in the room i had signal once again.
