It's a match. Side by side. Original Estro Vapore portafilter and Poemia filter. About the only difference is that they used a lighter metal. There was a slight change in indentations that prevented me from removing the mechanics from the inside and swapping them. EDIT: Tried again, and yes, all the internal components can be swapped out. So if you want to restore an original portafilter so you have the solid build, you can buy one of these and swap everything from the plastic round with a gasket, to the internal mechanisms and springs.
I'm told the temperature is still pretty close to correct and it just means the heater has kicked in, and the water will continue to be hot. Still, my unit's ready light turns off half-way through drawing shots too. It's about 25 years old and I don't remember that being a thing.
