Here are some pictures of the train after I've opened it and fixed it. Unfortunately some damages, but I guess I can live with that. Unfortunately I also don't have the exact answer for someone who's trying to open such a Lego train. For me it was just a matter of endless prying, brute force in all possible direction, and lots of frustration.
